Goog!. the writer airs his genuine concern over newly defined morality and ethics... yet he goes overboard in highlighting his views. he is right chennai city clamousr for a place where no importerd cultures being valued.
but this king of protection wears a mask hypocracy - of protecting its much -enshrined culture..
ofcourse, at the time we need/should protect ours while we have a modern percetive towards modernism... inescapable is of transformism - inevetible reality.
chennan now as as a catalyst of puritanism and a sister concern of political outfits of the likes bhagrangdal, etc..
BigBrother's presence is very much needed in places where lot of mugging and dacoities happen too. If dancing in a discotheque is prohibited, why do they have them at all? Let the government enforce some rules on closing such pubs/discos. Man-handling in a democratic country is atrocious.
wt a stupid article written by one lazy goose who could not find anything else to write and turned on to put something thts as bull as her mind !....wer did u get these stories frm ? and by the way .... wt's the name of tht big brother ?. and were u in any way related to these happenings ? were u holding candles at all these places ? wt best describes ur article ? shall we call it shoba warrier's considering the fact tht u deny it to be george Orwell's ?. now one last thing i wnt to know. which city r u frm ? if u let me know tht, then i will write a better column talking ( or rather B Sing ) all non - sense abt ur city. By the way, I am from Chennai, lived there more years than u wud ever imagine and have never seen any thing of tht sort which u managed to peak in quite quickly. Wt were u doing behind bushes wen two ppl r seeking intimacy ?
iam sure u must be frm any big city in india, and u better be sure tht if all one wants to do is criticize , then iam sure even ur city will have tons to talk abt ! dont tell me ur frm mumbai or delhi...coz thts just going to make it worser !
all said and done, i have nothing negative against any one until and unless provoked at which point it becomes a matter of pride.
All what is going on is sheer rubbish , we re-act badly to intimacy but not say anything to violence. We say nothing when rapes happen or corruption is there, when brides are burnt and children are abused yet pick on couples who are not harming anybody. Sex is not new - infact a terrific amount of humping is happening in India ( just look at the population) yet we are coy to discuss it. Wake up we are supposedly emanicipated and high time changed our stance. It is the thought which is important and how we think rather than holding hands or kissing which is wonderful. It is nice to see a couple in love. India is an interesting destination but not a fun place- too many do's and dont's. Drinking is no crime but learn to handle drinking and clamp down like in Europe on drivers who have had drinks - enfore that as they can harm and hurt people. Ashok
I feel the writer has given his sadistic views about Chennai. Am not a person from Chennai though. I know things are changing for good in Tamilnadu and Chennai esp with lots of MNCs coming in from around the globe to set shop. Probably the writer is not able to digest the way Chennai is progressing. Chennai would soon be the Number 1 state in IT and Automotives. People should realise that Chennai has lots of history to it's credit and Chennai is the place where the Southern Filmdom started. Doesn't mean that just because some people raised hue and cry on Khushboo's alleged interview with media, where in she had just answered to the question which was posed to her on pre-marital sex. She gave her opinion. That's about all. The so called "HUNGAMA" going on in Tamilnadu after her remarks are just movers by political parties because they donot have any other work now since Jayalalitha is ruling the state excellently and there is no law and order problem as compared to the DMK rule. I request one and all to support Khushboo at this hour. People of TN who built temples for their filmi goddess are ready to dig a grave for her. Shame on you people who are opposing her words.
Hey Boss, Got to a Doctor and get yourself examined. Are you crazy. Perhaps you are just jealous of how great The City of Chennai is. Dont make comments without being sure what it means? Do write something which has a bit of truth in it. You do write well, but also do write the truth.
Not all writer are good author!!!! Just because of political parties and some negligible cases happened, we should not come into wrong conclusion. writer does not know how to express his concern and he is just blaming the city of chennai and the culture.

Has the author ever been to chennai? Dont judge anything about the city from few incidents. I can show you similar incidents in Mumbai or Delhi too. Dont look from a celibrity's viewpoint. Celebrities or funlovers constitute only less than 1% of the city population. Look from the view point of a common man who likes his daughter to return home safely . Didnot u read about the rapes in delhi and Sexual harassment in Mumbai police stations? Please prepare a article saying your great view on those incidents. Then come to chennai happenings. Again I wanna stress you that "Dont write anything by seeing a television news or reading a newspaper. We are not here to bear whatever you had imagined in this article"
