I am not supporting chennai. But whatever big brother said was correct to an extent. In the name of freedom u dance in the bar, clutch a girls hand and sit in the bench, advice on aids when people do it knowingly.Everyone knows hot to live and no one needs anyones advice.chennai is far better than bangalore or bihar.just a chance ot write in rediff will not qualify some to write crap about any city in india.mind it small brothers.
This column is simply exaggerating the cultural issues in chennai.I am acceping that women from some political parties have agitated against actress, that is politics, its nowhere related to cultural issues.Even in mumbai, where you can see people locking their lips in almost all places, and where people are partying like anything, Political parties are still protesting against celebration of volentine's day.so whatever you have mentioned is nothing to relate with people's culture.simply its a politics. If you are writing something analyse all the things, and your comments about bharathanatiyam is absurd, its a dance of siva which has lots of divine stories.
i have kissed many times in the city . nobody questioned me. i donno where shobha got her story spun. i have seen many sleeveless girls with tight jeans. see thru clothin what not ?
