It appears shobha warrier is furious about the south indian moral restrictions irrespective of the fact that she is a malayalee and a south indian. Does she want girls to wear revealing dresses, booze as they feel like, hang around in discos with their boy friends (sic), indulge in premarittal sex, get pregnant, abort and hiding all these get in to matrimony with an equally problematic guy? Would the elder warriers ( her parents or in-laws ) have approved such a move from her. Or will Shobha Warrier allow her teenaged daughter ( if she has one) to go like this or her son( if she has one ) do al these to a girl before marriage...?
In the enthusisam of trying to ridicule big brother , the author has gone too much. Except for the kushboo scene and the last scene (which was nothing more than wild imagination there is nothing wrong with other three). The moral of third scene is "If you don't want to get raped ,dress properly". The moral of second scene is " Bharathanatyam is a better dance than disco". The moral of first scene is "There is lot more important things to do in life than sitting in a park and kissing " .

This is just bullshit. I point to your reply. Chennai never replicates Bangalore in terms of IT. It has all of its own and you will be surprised that 50% of chennai's population speaks other languages and I am one of them. This article has shown what is being blown out by the politicians and absolutely not the views of Chennaites.
Hey what you wrote truly exposes the blind myths Chennai still sems to be proud off. Since ages they have been holding "Our Culture"(Only Tamil)banners..preaching their kids how bad Non-Tamil things are..!! This article truly exposes what angst the young Gen of chennai might be facing today...as now chennai slowly heads towards replicating the Bangalore IT boom thing..!!
City of great culture...... crap!!! total hoswash, this is just an election gimmick.
The constitution gives the freedom of speech to anyone to say anything, she actress in question just expressed her views over a trivial matter and that;s it.
