How many people kiss each other in Public, forget that , How many boys/men have girlfriends today in our country, If you even try to speak to any girl/woman, either she will walk away from u and label u as a Street Romeo/Indecent Man, I dont understand what is this article all about. Which people are you talking about ? I am in Mumbai and am Single and I never had a Girlfriend in my life, although met several girls whom I liked. This is all rubbish, Please stop writing such articles , Its better that people dont kiss and do all those lewd things in public(and frustrate other singles), and as far as Jeans T-Shirts are concerned Females shud be prohibited from wearing this attire.
What is the point of this article? Why pick on one particular city? From the structure of the article, its pretty evident that even the writer does not have the answers to these questions. Nevertheless, I do agree with the point she is trying to make. Not only Chennai, but this article applies to all areas of India. The funny thing is, the common excuse is that our culture does not allow this..well, will someone point out in the book of Indian culture (I mean there has to be one, since everyone refers to it), which paragraph and furthermore, which line refers to the fact that couples should not indulge in kissing, holding hands, even pre-marital sex. The paradox here is that for a culture that is seemingly so 'reserved' we have the second highest population in the world...and I am guessing here (and I have to, because saying I know would indicate I am more inclined to be Western) but they must have to indulge in some kind of sexual act to produce them. By the way, what is the stand of 'Indian culture reference book of all things sacred' on the increasing number of home-videos and mms clips of couples found on the internet, I know lets shut down the internet - problem solved!!
This author is totally wrong. If you are not allowed to kiss in public place then we don't have any culture or what?. or if you don't allow students to wear sleevless and tight jeans means we don't have a culture or what?. Chennai is a great city and will be. Please stop publishing this type of articles written by some unknown and un-matured people.
this article is meaningless. what is the author trying to convey? i wonder sometimes why rediff publishes such articles. there is no sense in it. what is wrong in admonishing public display of affection? why should human beings forget the difference between themselves and five sensed animals? if there is one city that is trying to be sane, spare it man!!!!
