the first , second, and the third things were fine, but the last ws just a mock about the fact that rules are a real waste and all these are funny. i can say that people have to follow some decoram in the city.I give my vote as to all those who appose public kissing, late night party dancing
well, the article was to the point. Atleast somebody had come out to say it in open. may be there are some rejoinders, but then the story is all the same. the so called phony culturophobia is what had gripped chennai. from bad to worse to pathetic.... Big B's and other moral police's have put chennai's social policy back 10 years.......
It was a splendid article. Look how just a handful of hoolingans (sadly this includes the Police too) are acting ridiculously. Brandishing the culture sword, they are becoming a menace to the society and freedom of people. This kind of attitude is what has kept Tamilnadu down all these days. Better wake up you cultureless tamils.
Just shows how the city stinks!!!! If these people "BIG BRO" are here to save the world tell them to do something worthwhile and not interfere into other people's matters. Tell them to clean up the traffic insted which needs a major revamp. All the main roads have lanes marked unfortunately people never bother to follow those and moreover the police is looking somewhere else or standing in the shade. It is important for these hypocrites to clean themselves. And do not talk about the great culture all those "dhoti clad" brahmins call themselves the so called saviours of the society are "pukka brahmins" at home and preach one and all. But make them sit anywhere outside there homes and you will find them not only eating the so called "non-veg" but also having a sip of the "coloured water". So it is high time these people should stop this hypocricy. Thanks
Cant the constitution and judiciary prevent police from moral poilicing, why cant mr.Nataraj arrest the famous polygamists in and out of power ,or do they add to the charm of chennai culture
Whoever wrote this article has seen the length and breadth of Chennai culture. One one side Chennai is developing in infra, job opportunities, education etc. etc. But the other side of the coin has always been bitter for Chennai's youngsters, be it married couple or the unmarried couples. Chennai Police can never see things from a broad perspective. Just because a girl wears a sleeveless, doesn't mean that she is inviting trouble for herself. Its the COP who score out on rapes offlate. These are the guys who talk about culture and behave in the most barbaric way. When you talk about unsafe sex i.e. AIDS - Chennai scores well above other cities. When a public figure advices on safe sex, she will be made a scape goat for unwarranted political gains by politicians. There is no democracy...where is the FREEDOM OF SPEECH gone ? Being a Chennaiite myself since birth, I started hating things happening around like this.
