Dear Author, What has been mentioned here is an exaggerated version of the reality. But I would personally appreciate for your artcile as guys in Conservative Tamilnadu would atleast notice certain issues only when it is blown out of proportion.Considering the current generation, it is advised to all the conservative population to come out of the paradime of " BIG NO to OPPOSITE SEX ".There are no proper justification till now that when boyz n girls flirt together they immediately involve in sex too.If the paradime doesnot change then guys would look alienated to girls and vice versa.
Shobha warrier's article is written one-sidedly. If you were a parent of a teenager then you would, in all probability, thank the Big Brother for keeping track of what is happening to the youngsters in the city. In rare cases, these may be taken to excesses, but that is ok compared to letting things go on as they would. In fact, i would argeue, more harm would happen to teh society if they were not around oding what they are doing now.
Countering my statements, one may say that things have to change and they would certainly change. Well, my answer is this: Let it change, but by then we would have the hindsight lessons from the other cities that were in a hurry to change and this is still for the good!
By the way, why may I ask, should students wear fashionable garments to college, where they are supposed to go study? Why should they kiss in public?
Note: Shobha has exaggerated the ending with interference even in the bedroom...of course, this is utterly untrue and falsehood in writing an article is unwelcome.
I think the author has misunderstood lot of things. Nobody has told that you should not kiss your girfriend. In a park lot of children will be playing. Suppose if they saw a couple kissing scene means their mentality will get affected. Everything can done within the closed doors but not at the public places.
