Kiss in Chennai
by jigna on Oct 05, 2005 11:16 AM  Permalink

First of all, please disclose whos this Big Brother and what is he upto??
I beleive Chennai shud now come out of this and start living a better life, privacy and personal relations need to be respected always, not in public places but in private places atleast, there are no such rules or nature made laws to have sex or kiss on particular days only and not on thursdays. It is a human being and a part of every humans life nobody can stop this, wether it is Big brother or whoever it is...]

Chennai and especially Big Brother, please come out of this and respect everybody's privacy atleast in places other than public places.

Pls show some restraint in writing such things abt chennai
by sarathy on Oct 05, 2005 10:56 AM  Permalink

Hello,

Ur sarcasm abt chennai is uncalled for.

3 or 4 incidents cannot become a yardstick for measuring the potential of a city...

If u r targeting any particular individual ...u dont blame the entire city for that...

and by the way what do u know abt this city?

So pls show some restraint in making some unnecessary comments like this....

Chennai is definitely a fantastic city and always will stay that way.

First & Foremost i would like to ask who is this shobha warrier, is she from chennai or atleast is she living here. she has only one point agenda just to abuse chennai & present a very bad picture.

i guess she had got some personal bad expereince for which she is venting her anger against chennai.

RE:How dare you kiss in Chennai
by Shrivathsan on Oct 05, 2005 07:41 PM  Permalink
Its really an interesting article depicting the hypocrites living not only in Chennai but in any part of India.I have seen it personally in many parts of india where lovers are milled during
Valentines day card/rose purchase.(I think India is the only democratic country which has some issues with Valentines day). For those of you who still think our culture prevents us from doing
these so called sexual love,i would highly recommend having a good look in Khajuraho temples and Kamasutra.Though we claim ourselves as a developing nation we lack basic decency, and couldn't help intervening in others business. Ofcourse am not supporting the people who explicitly show their sexual feelings in public, but even if they do its THEIR OWN BUSINESS and YOU BETTER KEEP YOUR NOSE OFF!! Please realize that India is a democratic country and each and everyone has right to lead(or)practise their life according to their own wish(without intervening others). If you still want to protect our culture track and nail the criminals responsible for making India stand high on rape list, and the people causing trouble to Ladies in public transport, colleges etc., great way to show your love for our culture

Politics can play havoc
by Shyam on Oct 05, 2005 10:09 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Its a very sad state of affairs for a metropolis...those who indulge in such pranks are the ones who are sulking the most and will not resist if given a share in the pie:)

May be the author has some personal bad experiences. Whatever she has expressed is totally exaggerated.

Chennai big brother
by lokeswara on Oct 05, 2005 09:48 AM  Permalink

Hi,

You can\'t blindly wirte about chennai big brother.

The reason is all the drunk and drive accidents are happening from those parties.( all are bing hands kids you can\'t take any action agains them. after the accident there is no use also.). Because of the big brothers only the chennai is more secure city in India. Not some thing like banglore. the Inspector himself threating people in the Railway station .(Refer Times of india - banglore ).

-Lok.
