I agree with this that Homoeopathy is a wonderful science and I have seen many ailments not curable by allopathy being cured by homoeopathy. Infact I have studied to become a homoeopathic doctor and am practising it successfully. My family members use only homoeopathy medicines. I have got wonderful results for many uncurable ailments.
homoepathy is really a boon to mankind it analyses the behavior the present mental attitude and treats accordingly which is most practical approach to eradicate the ailment. therefore this science will defenitely supercede allopathy. of course the science is not wrong one but the the qualified persons are using it for theor own self and that too by treating the ailment that is not advised in the allopathy.this can be very well emphasised that they are not following the oath taken at the time of the receiving licence to practice. the proper persons should note this and try to correct the malpractices in the trade from its grassroots.
Congratulations to Dr. Vijayakar for defending Homeopathy which the allopathic quackes in white jackets are condemning. May I request our Homeopathic brethern to use moderen Jargon like BP,Cholesterol,Arthritis,migrain in their vocabulary and find specifics for them. Dr. Sharma,Dinesh.
Dr Prafull, All this Homeopathy infrastructure which you boasted of, is of what use?? I've met lots of poeple who used homeopathy.. not a single really got cured... including me.
I strongly agree with these reports revealing truth of homeopathy. I used homeopathy in INDIA only for more than 1 year from "Degree equipped Well Qualified Homeopath" Dr. batra's clinic. They market this useless "sweet pill medical system" so well, and claim to cure all of the serious ailments "rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, alopecia, psoriasis" and now they are here to make fool of cancer patients. These Quacks, yes quacks .. do not have any knowledge.. do not have any diagnostic tests/tools/technologies of their own. They changed medicine (I don't know if they really did, all were white sweet pills). poeple joke about them using hindi phrase "meethee goli dete hein". which means that they fool people using sweet pills. I would love to sue them, Its our legal system which discourages me to take such an action. public should be made aware about this cheating and govt should immidietly ban Homeopathy and these quacks.
If you think Homoeopathy is a science you should systamtically prove it and publish your work in a reputed science journal. Sure Dr Hahnneman was not a fool! But he could have believed in something which was not correct. There is no evidence that Homoeopathy is based on the theory of suppression, immunology, genetics, embryology, human bichemnistry and neuro-endocrinology. You should substantiate your claims rather than make such meaningless claims. Good luck for your Cancer cure and hope you can get nobel prize for that. Prove it to the world with a systematic study.
While the author makes some good points, merely being outraged at the claim made by Lancet is not sufficient. As a scientist, a better approach would have been to systematically evaluate the claims made by the Lancet article and refute them one by one, if indeed they were false. To this end, the present article is not very constructive.
Dr. Vijayakar is a very knowledgeable,well recognized and respected professional in Homeopathy. I am very surprized to read his commentary on the recent findings and reports in western literature.
It is naive to think that scientists conducting these studies are incompetent or biased. The basic problem, perhaps, lies in (a)the lack of a standardised read out for benefits (effects), (b) quality control in products provided to the end user, and (c) lack of education of the end user about these products.
Prcaticing Homeopathy in the light of these three factors, can help increase their general acceptance as well as their true benefits.
I hope scientist working in this area, both in India and abroad, design a universal criteria to manufcature,use and study these products. If penicillin did not have its claimed effectiveness and "evidence based" data to show it's effects,it's acceptance would have been pretty close to nada. In fact it goes for any product that we expect to improve well being and rid us of a pysiological dysregulation.
Homeopath Vijaykar has vainly tried to defend homeopathy as a useful medical science. The uselessness really becomes evident if you see the fact that homeopathy cannot cure so many pressing medical problems like TB,Malaria, Leprosy,Cholera, Typhoid,Amoebiasis,etc. Homeopathy practitioners can only falsely claim to cure chronic progressive condition with their relapses and remission with the untruthful statement that homeopathy has no side-effect,when in reality it has no EFFECT. If you see now, majority of homeopathy graduates ultimately end up using allopathic medicines for the major part of their practice thus really ending up as quacks as Mr.Vijaykar and the supreme court has opined. OK Dr.Hannemann was not a fool if we consider state of allopathic medicine then, but it is also worthwhile to see Why in todays enlightened times with the progress in terms of understanding of various old and new diseases and the means to cure or control them,the whole of modern world including Germany have sidelined Homeopathy. homeopaths should try to re-establish homeopathys credential is by undertaking scientific , reproducible un-biased studies,rather thAN making atrocious statements

I totally agree with u. I have always used homoeopathy treatment whenever i needed one. Not even once I have been to allopathy. the treatment totally depends on doctor. I didn't like the way those investigators came out to say that Homoepathy is not a medicine. i was hoping someone..a real homeopathy doctor comes out and say something. I like the way the thoughts are presented. I wish more people come out and give voice about the real homeopathy medicine instead of other people who doesn't know anything about this medicine keep talking about it.
