Falling in US trap?
by Atul on Oct 02, 2005 01:24 AM  Permalink

That is what US wants perhaps...already thirsty for oil, a threat of oily-arm-twist would perhaps be the last straw that Bush needs to sell another misadventure to the US public.

'Iran may use oil as a weapon'
by Dr. Rajendra Nayak on Oct 01, 2005 09:59 PM  Permalink

A country like India should not bother about referring the Iran N- programme to IAEC. With 1 billion population we shouldnot confront with a nation that provides us oil. There should be some smartness among Indians like Americans who have promoted the now labeled terrorists. They were the close allies of U.S.(Iraq. Countries like India should bargain for more oil from Iran rather than asking them to stop Nuclear programme.
We should get the benefit like a typical Indian businessman thinks rather than talking nonsensical things that they will make weapons. Which country is safe? Any country can go into bad hands even a democracy too.
India should therefore negotiate for oil for a lesser price and start exporting our cars and other consumer durables to Iran and make money out of these dealings.
Hope we stop talking nonsense and sense prevails upon us to import oil at a cheaper rate and our survival is much more important with lots of oil at a cheaper rate or through barter rather than talking about hypothetical things like Iran will misuse the nuclear power and bombard India.
Iran had an elected President and does it should not mean that we derecognise the election.
