Tragedy
by panakat on Nov 25, 2005 05:04 PM  Permalink

Dear Sir, can anybody convince the poor family had Kutty been an AMerican National would the American Governemnt take stand as we did. We were slow in acting. We dont have to agree to the demands of the hijackers however did we have responsibility of atleast negotiating with the hijackers like everybody does for these type of actions by the murdereres.

We should have acted and then if nothing could be done atleast we have the staisfaction that we have tried our best.

Regards

Panakat

Wrong
by Vinay on Nov 25, 2005 05:02 PM  Permalink

Why write an article when you have no fixed agenda or conclusions? What you have stated in the article about Taliban losing interest in India is correct. The reason for the Indian killing is ISI not wanting Indian companies building highways and getting in good books with the Afghans. That is the reason, ISI colluded with the Taliban to kill especially the Indian worked employed with the Indian company.

Kutty's murder

Whatever be the politics Kutty's family became orphans. The Government should announce appropriate compensation and livelyhood to the bereaved family by rpovidng employment.

Goverment should make it a policy that proper insurance cover is taken by the employer before anybody is deployed outside India on any employment.

My heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family and pray GOD to provide good sense to Talibs.

RE:Kutty's murder as he was south indian
by Pradyumna Pandey on Nov 29, 2005 04:47 PM  Permalink
Dear Mr Sanjay,

Your statement is one of the silliest I have ever heard.
So you are saying that Government allowed his murder as he was south indian, as if our government has great control over international terrorism.
Do you remember the first Indian victim of Taliban, Rupin Katyal who was a delhite and was brutally murdered when he was returning from his honeymoon with his wife from Nepal.
Their flight was highjacked and taken to Kandahar.
Think of the newly wed girl returning from honey moon to be made a widow.
ARE YOU OFF YOUR MIND TO TALK OF REGIONALISM ON SUCH AN INTERNATIONAL MENACE.

What i feel
by sanjaykuamrpv on Nov 25, 2005 04:25 PM  Permalink

It all happened, as the victim was a South Indian. Even a Northindian was held captive by Tailiban, the Govt. would immediately have intiated actions to rescume him. Remember the case of kidnapping of Mufti Moh. Syed's daughter. did we ignore the threats? It is therefore crystal clear that our Government is doing nothing for its own people. I now wonder what Government do we have???????
