I dont think Abu Saleem should be hanged although he deserves it. We have to also consider the fact that we have some international obligation and if we go against it we can create bad image.
I would rather torture this man so much that he would prefer not living.

If people like Abu Salem are kept alive then there is no meaning humanity, think about relatives of innocent people who lost their lives because of people like Abu Salem.
Wake up this is not 1947, if you do not kill people like him they will kill entire mankind.
Firstly, one should seriously consider our President plea for abolishing death penalty. We are a society united by Mahatma Gandhi and according to that philosophy, ahimsa is the weapon and the punishment.
In any case, the penalty even if given, will become infructuous, considering that there a lot more fellows connected to Mr Salem and it does not make sense to let them get away.
Imagine Bin laden or Al zawahri caught, would any nation put "No capitol punishment" in front of US ?
There is no doubt that abu salem and anyone associated with him be punished to the fullest extent of law. He should be interrogated for all the persons who helped him or were with him. These people are the scum on earth and we dont need them !!!!!!!!!!
if any country put any condition,as per indian constitution and land of law we can give him capital punishment and no any country can interfire or they have no any ground to do so is there any possibility if court given death penalty and they can take back by portchughese govt? thats it hang him and even a cost of war drag dawood from karachi and hang him.
Yes, without doubt. It's time to set example to scare criminals from becoming criminals. Dealth penalty. Life sentence duration should also be recalculated based on the new average age of Indians and I believe that should be 50+.
The very issue of Should Abu Salem should be hanged? Notwithstanding the undertaking given by the CBI to the Portugal government, is appalling. Abu Salem is a criminal who murdered and waged war against Indian people. He did not commit crime in Portugal to be told by that government, so it does not have any say in jurisprudence of this case. What the undertaking tantamount is that anyone can commit large-scale crime in Indian soil and can seek residence in Portugal where they will be given protection. Is Portugal becoming a safe-haven for terrorist? Let us not make any mistake here; Abu Salem is a dangerous to be kept alive. I think he deserves death. He has killed innocent peoples. Government should take U turn on the decision of relaxing death penalty to restrict such havocs in future.
He should be given a slow death, which will be remembered forever by ruthless criminals like him. So cruel that no will think of betraying India, so cruel that his old friend Dawood will start shivering when he sees that. His death should be written in the history book as most horrible, awful death in the history of humankind. I dont care what CBI agrees to Portugal about the severity pf punishment because its Indias internal matter now, he is crime is answerable to innocent people of India, whose relatives died in 93 bomb blast by jihadis and its the duty of Indian democracy to bring him to justice per Indian peoples wishes.
