If our law doesnt give him Capital punishment then its sort of encouragement for certain league of people who are hell bent on breaking our country and people.

He certainly deserves it. But since India has promised to Purtgese govt we should avoid doing this. Else other criminal would look for refuge in country like Purtgal on the same context that they may get capital punishment. Anyway, I am wondering why purtgese changed their purtgese so much. After what they did in Goa against Hindus during their colonial rule there, is not it surprising that they are trying to show the world their respect for human life (read it as life of notorious criminals).
Abu Salem must be killed and that in the most Brutal form. A man who has for over a decade done nothing but the wrong deeds one would shudder to think about deserves no Mercy.

I suppose life is a gift of god.If Abu salem took it away from many its his mistake.Lets not repeat it.But make sure that he is imprisoned lifetime and he should be made to suffer i prison.Also give a chance to the relations and friends of all whom he murdered to meet him so that they could get the reason from him.
I want to know how the portugese will react when a same request was made by any country like Britain, Spain, and France if not USA. If the above will be making the same request for some extradition I am sure that the portugese can not put some conditions like these and delay the prrocess for the guy facing the charges like these.
I want to see in near future some simmilar kind of attacks should happen in Portugese and they will require help of people like our's.
What makes me pity is our government's helplessness and asking a country whose past is not so bright and who were ardent supporters of colonialism and who commited lots of crimes against humanity in Latin america and Asia for just the sake of their business Now they pretend to be the flag bearers for Human rights of a notorious criminal who was chasing out thousands of Mumbaikar's worst dreams.
I suppose that SC's objection for such a commitment you poineted is a valid one and such notority should not be overlooked and should be given a capital punishment, as it will heal the wounded feelings of the innnocent people who were killed and hurt in MUMBAI's blasts.
Yes, Abu Salem should be given capital punishment. Central Government does not have any right to waive of the death penalty. Its prerogative of either President of India or the Courts of India. Even the President does not have right to restrict the life sentence upto 25 years and if the Courts in India award Abu Salem sentence of more than 25 years, even the President of India cannot help the Central Government.
But the bottom line is Abu Salem deserves CAPITAL PUNISHMENT atleast for the sake of hundreds of people who died in the Bombay bomb blast in 1993.
