If he is really involved in the blasts, he should be given death sentence.
What right does he have to take the lives of innocent people? What harm did they do to him? Eventhough he is a pawn in somebody's hands, he should be hanged so that it should deter others in he future, who might think taking lifes of others as simple. One might argue that they he is just a pawn and Dawood or Pak govt. is the real culprit. It is agreed that Dawood shud be hanged first. But Salem is also nearly guilty, if not as guilty as Dawood. Becoz if not for people like Salem who carry out the designs of their bosses , so many lives wud not have been lost. Even on humanitarian grounds, taking the perspective of Salem, why didn't he think it as a sin while committing to such acts? There can be no excuse. Other culprits- Print and electronic media,especially film industry which glorify such acts as heroic and sensational.
There is no doubt that Salem played a major role in Bombay Blast. we all know that he had been brought in to our custody from Lisbon which is very much conditional that he should not be given death penalty. we should prove to the lisbon govenment that he is much more a high profile criminal in india than in lisbon where he was taken in custody for using fake documents. He is a cold blooded killer of several innocent people physically and mentally.There is no room for him to get any mercy from us I would say 'HANG HIM TWICE TILL DEATH'.
Yes, Salem should be given death penalty because he deserves it the most.Indian government should work something out with Portugal about its condition of not granting capital punishment to Salem.

No. Because of the fact that the undertaken is given by our Government to the Portugal that no capital punishment will be awarded either to Abu Salem or to his friend Monica Bedi capital punishment must be avoided and other punishments can be awarded. By awarding the capital punishment against the undertaking,our Government will loose credibility of our commitments in the Globle level.
