Capital Punishment to Abu Salem.
by Surya Narayan Mishra on Nov 14, 2005 12:09 PM  Permalink

Though capital punishment is not in Portugal\\\'s Law , it should not be put on India by the Portugal Government.

Abu Salem is a man who deserve punishment if there is any more punishment than Capital punishment.

We thanks Portugal Government for extradition , but they are requested to refrain from our judicial dicission, it is India\\\'s rule of the land which will give justice to the victims of the barbaric act done by Salem.

Thanking You.

OK, if giving capital punishment is not possible, taking place of accidents could be possible.

Abu Salem case
by Vipin on Nov 14, 2005 11:35 AM  Permalink

If we have a precondition then the court cant give the right punishment to him. There is no use of getting him. I think, as most of the other Indians do, Abu salem must be given capital punishment, if he is guilty. I think the CBI must consult the special court before signing such an agreement. But once India signed such an agreement it is our utmost duty to follow it. If we breach it then will other countries believe our words in the future.

Actually i do feel courts are behaving badly. A court's judgement now allows child marriage, I dont know where goes there common sense. A recent court verdict in the self fincancing college case was also wrong and put thousands of students in difficulty.

Death Penalty for Abu Salem
by Anil Kumar Kucheria on Nov 14, 2005 11:13 AM  Permalink

I' am personally of the view that whoever be the Criminal, the Capital Punishment should at any cost be abolished, instead, a rigorous imprisonment for life be slapped so that he/she can get a chance to repent on his/her past heinous acts of crime, in the rest of his/her life thus getting A CHANCE to do some good work for the sake of his/her Society or the nation, That's all my lord.

Here's one point, the captured DON is fully co-operating the legal authorities of our country so under the circumstances, he must be given a chance to survive by imposing the sections of rigorous imprisonment.

Law should take its own course.
by Anil on Nov 14, 2005 11:13 AM  Permalink

YES. No mercy what so ever.......What rights Portugal has to pre-condition the judgment??? The terror attack was on the soil of India and we Indians faced it brunt.

Government has to extradite Salem so, had to bend a little. This issue can easily be dealt diplomatically and no anti-terrorist country can condemn the courts decision.
