If we give him death penalty then there is no difference between him and us as he has also done it very conciously and we are also doing the same hence we are also committing a crime.
I see a lot of people airing the idea of a death sentence to Abu Salem. I can understand that their perspective is in adherence to the notion that a capital punishment is the worst possible one that anyone can be handed over .
I would like to beg to disagree with you and say that such criminals should not die so soon. Death,for them might mean a gateway to 'heaven' 'coz they have committed the 'heroic' act of killing people . And I won't be surprised if they would be happy to accept it . Going by the number of suicide bombings all over the world, I am sure that at least some of u will agree that for some, death doesn't mean much.
On the other hand, a life sentence, as someone pointed out would be the greatest punishment that he can get. Leading a lone life in the jail in such environments is surely more frightening than a death sentence .Moreover, it will be in accordance with our agreement with Portugal as well .
Just that he should not get a 5star treatment in the jail . . . it should be the filthiest of all
Yes, he deserves the death penalty, but the promise made by indain government it is not plausiable. But a proper penalty should be given to him, and he even did not deserves the rights to defence.
Come on! let us be fair to recommend death penalty to all concerned or atleast the main responsible that led to demolition of Babri mosque, then Bombay blasts, then Gujarat riots, then Delhi blasts - every criminal shall be punished according to law of land taking into consideration of any covenants made to get them. They had killed or led to kill many INNOCENT CITIZENS of the country. The law is much higher than any of Adwani, Dawood, Modi or Salem.
He should be hanged ... he has no rgt to live ...though this wont b an enough punishment for him...!!! OR He too shd face d pain wch hundreds of innocents faced in the bomb blast...keeping him alive he shd be tortured to tht extent so tht all the others who consider themselves virtual gods/ruler/creater(actully the destroyers) of mankind will also get thrilled.
