This column is nothing but the stand of an apologist. The actions of the president and the Supreme court are beyond reproach. The fact of the matter remains that any action taken by the governer or the speaker(s) should have been within the ambit of the constitution, legislative guidelines and reasonable discretion. If their actions are beyond rationale, then the president and the supreme court have to step in to protect the constitution, even without receiving delegations. Fact of the matter remains, nobody is a hero in this episode.
It is really nice to read article but it seems Mr Prafful wrote with a baised set of mind which is more inclined towards Congress.Governor is really accountable to President as Governor is representative of President in a state.Regarding Jnasangh issues,it was Mrs Indira Gandhi started all this. Ratter then pointing fingure on good deed done by Supreme Court and President ,we should appreciate that. Infact I don't know whether Mr Bidwai is been to Bihar but yes it is no more left as place to live in India and all credit goes to RJD Goverment there for last 15 years.
