It is heartening to note that crusaders like Sharat Pradhan, who fought singlehandedly against the misdeeds of AP Singh and helped the Govt of India to bring him to justice, still exist in our country. Sharat Pradhan deserves recognition for not only being a fearless journalist but also for his singleminded devotion towards fighting curroption in high places. He stood rock steady in his pursuit even when the print media barons had distanced themselves. Hindustan Times scrapping his weekly column "watch dog" is a case in point.
