Condoms should be available at each panwaallah shop and dhabaas and they can be trained to talk about it and disribute/sell condoms. If bollywood sells sex so blatantly what is the problem in talking about HIV. I would tell the writer I applaud your effort.each word is important. Most people think it happens to other people but they have NO IDEA how real the threat is. Its not happening in poor villages in Jharkhand. You and Me are also at risk.BE SAFE not sorry
The Goverment of india should look into such matters and should take appropriate actions.Just issuing advertisements is not enough.The message should be reachable to every remote place of the indian subcontinent
i really am amused at the way the writer talsk about mumbai being teh cause for AIDS. is it a city which is responsible for contracting disease or human behavior? if these blokes had not been visiting sex workers, would anyone hussle them physically and get them to have sex with the commercial workers and thus have AIDS?? it is human behavior and not an inanimate patch of land that is mumbai which is the cause of teh scrouge. your outlook in the article seems skewed.
It is still hard to believe that such a dilapidated and pathetic situation exists in such mineral rich state sarcastically jharkand was formed for the tribals and this is what it has gained to villages still dont have the basic amenities of water, electricity and health. But who cares Shibu Soren is busy fighting out to stay as CM of state. Neither the condition was better during the Laalo raj there. aids is a serious issue facing indian society but indian government will always sidetrack this issue.
the entire govt machinery is ineffective as politicians are low calibre people who cannot effectively control the government and thus redress real problems facing the society.
