that s a great news for all the students
by syed ahamed saqi on Jun 27, 2005 02:44 PM  Permalink

the sudden decision to do away with the entrance exam after the conducting of the entrance test is undoubtedly spilling water on all the students hopes.
the governement s claim that there s an inappropriate business like atmosphere in the 12th level and that people from rural areas are in the backseat is not convincing as most of the questions in the CET appear from the text books only. moreover if only the 12th mark is a criterion then it ll be a foundation of rote and mugging as a medium for entry into professional courses, where analysis and innovation are the areas to succeed, and finally dont drag ploitics into these matters of higher secondary education. hope the intelligent are honoured and the so called rote procedure be shown the door.

unclear for common people
by Siva on Jun 27, 2005 12:39 PM  Permalink

When the improvemet exams are left as policy decision, what is the logic of considering the abolishing the entrance exam not so.
Can any judicial people throw light on this confusion.
From my point of viewthe government is a representative of people. Indian government is run by people, this overruling means judicial power is more than people power in India?
