The speech of Shri Advaniji about Mr Jinnah in PAK, has done lots of good to the Nation. First being that it has guaranteed that the leaders of 'SANGH PRIVAR'adore SECULARISM as virtue and they at any cost will not allow this virtue to be attached to Jinnah's name; and second being that it has given opportunity to the NATION to debate as to what is secularism and find out the causes for present ills prevailent in the Indian society. Are these ills exist due to faulty implementation of this virtue by Congress Party?
What happened Rediff, you did'nt post my comments!! Ahaa, I understand you too have to show your secular credentials. If you can permit Mr. Rajeev Sreenivasan who have the guts to call a spade a spade, then why are you ashamed to put my mails on the message board. Was that all I said a cheap lie? May be you do not want to put up the real truth for your own marketing reasons of may be some reasons beyound my comprehension, but I must say that Indian Express, whose guts I consider to be inferior to that of Rediff's had the guts to put my similar comments on its message board. Your message board gives us an opportunity to put out our views which may not be acceptable in this media created false atmosphere. I really respect rediff, who very smartly puts the views clasified as right wing one and i empathise with it. Anyway, I did'nt expect this from rediff, still it's O.K as I am a trivial entity to you who very frequently checks your site every day and tries to pen down his views. Summary: It Pains
Former Sar Karyavaha of R.S.S. Sri.H.V.Seshadri in his book The Tragic Story of Partition has written more than what Advani said. I request you to kindly read Chapter 13, page 11-16 of the book to understand the double talk of R.S.S. men
I think our politicians and their parties should come together and resolve the Kashmir issue and terrorism with Pakistan, rather then discussing people of their country. We have real work in terms of saving life of people who live, which is above any piece of land and any person of the past. Please stop this political drama and get on to the main point. Further, we live in a democratic country where we can think and express our views till it harms no other person. What i have mentioned above is the bottomline, each one of us is only aware of.(not sure when actions will speak)
Many of us know what was Jinnah 1920 and what was he in 1947. Ultimately you have to judge a person at the end of the day. That is the reason why Valmiki is saint not a robber Ratnakar ( Your own example). It is not that what you say in a lecture but it matters what you are really. This bitter lessons we have learnt over the years. We have many leaders who speaks of secularism, equality but acts differently and that is the reason why so many riots took place. It is the political power greed which made Jinnah to be come father of Pakisthan, I appreciate the reasons behind it but those do not justify the partition to remain in power. The same thing today Advani is doing, afraid to call a spade a spade. Just giving a reference of Sarojini Naidu's comment or speach in parliament one cannot be certified as secular. It is very cheap trick, can not serve any purpose of peace making. Today we have good relation with UK that does not mean we have forgotten Jaliwanbaug and we have to give good certificate to Gen. Dias or their other misdeeds. Even then relations can be improved. It is stupid act to become popular in Pakistahn like this even so called psudo seculars also did not do so.
Sai, you seem to play it safe here, as I don\'t see you commenting on the core issue. I believe in Advani, as I believe in all the other politicains, they are great ACTORs.....I am suprised that it took Advani so many years to come with this idealogy, would have been great if he had started feeling the same before 15 years....Even though, I believe that our past, present and future are all related and linked....but I am not fully sure why such a hue and cry is a made about this issue....Partition is a past, we will have to live with it, it can\'t be changed... Who was responsible for the partition....it was not just Jinnah, but sadly few of out own great leaders also....but if we are talking about it now, then I think we are going nowhere....as partition cannot be changed now.....we have much bigger problems to fight for, rather than this now proverty, population, unemployment, corruption, what not.....and I think if we can put our times in these directions...then we will surely be doing justice to ourselves and to our great nation INDIA.
Mr.Sai You have given a very elaborative description of the history which we all also know. Gandhi is called the Mahatma of India but, he had more faults than qualities. Still we are forced to believe that Gandhi was Mahatma and Godse was a demon.
There is absolutely no need to take reference from Dravidian and Aryan history to justify the statements made by Advani. Advani just did what a average person does when he is in hostile neighbour's house, being offered all kind of hospitalities. But, Advani forgot that he has to return home after all and face the family members. I believe what he said was all out of his brain. He said all this just to appease the Pakistanis without considering the repercussions.
For you and alikes, one thing is very important to remember and that is "stop repenting the history when Aryans were settled in the North". What harm did Aryans did to you except normal skirmishes. They fused their religion, culture and traditions with that of Dravidian's. This beautiful fusion is what is known as Hinduism. Just think, what had been the fate of indigenous people here if they would have faced the muslim invasions, which were actually faced by Hindus (Aryans)

And what faith would the likes of Tipu Sultan have, who had to valiantly fight against the british and marathas simultaneously - who were key allies???
And EDUCATION, is something that you urgently need. Jinnah NEVER wanted to make Pakistan an Islamic state. It was only the leaders AFTER him who did so. Jinnah said that people of ALL religions were welcome to live in Pakistan, and despite pressure from a lot of people, he REFUSED to make Qoran the official law of Pakistan. He said he wanted Pakistan to be separate country, so the MUSLIM minority, would not be harassed in India. And after Babri Masjid, and Gujarat, he was right. If India and Pakistan were one, there could have been frequent civil wars. And yet, he said that Muslims were FREE to live in India at their own risk, and only those that wanted to come to Pakistan could do so. He also said that Hindus and Sikhs were FREE to live in Pakistan. He NEVER perpetrated the Kashmir occupation. It was the fanatic members of the Muslim league, whom he had come DISLIKE after the creation of Pakistan.
