The idea is itself not a bad one seeing the Kashmiris been sandwitched between India and Pakistan. Maintaining the status qoe or making the LOC as International Border may favour both the countries.....but defenitely not the Kashmiris. India as a Democratic country might allow this thing to happen BUT can we trust Pakistan on this ? Remmember the invasion of Kashmir in 1947 under the garb of Tribals ?? What guarentee that the Pakistanis wont resort to their old strategy ??
Being a resident of the state i am familiar with the ground realties. These so called leaders are nothing but leaders of their mohallas.They are religious leaders which local kashmiries are forced to respect.No one respect them in Jammu or Ladhakh.If they are really the rep. of the whole state why they shy away from contesting elections?By visiting pakistan they are considering themself as champions.By starting Mujafrabad bus GOI has committed a blunder which has provided chance to these to consolidate their position & to pakistan to fulfil its dream of annexing Kashmir.
Kashmir is a part of india and all these stupid ideas wont be materialised ever in generations to come and these kashmiri leaders should stop involving pakistan in any talks or considering them equivalent to Indias stand.Only possible solutions to this issue are of converting the l o c to international border or giving Jammu and Kashmir some sorts of special rights than other states, but it will always remain a part of India. Kashmiris should consider themselves citizens of India and government to should look up to thier problems and make them comfortable so they feel as part of India,regarding the p o k their could be joint force on this regions.
Brilliant Idea. So at last people want to settle the issue. Both Pakistan and India should seize this opportunity. Think beyond the idea, into the future. Dont you see that this idea will be the key ro permanent peace between India and Pakistan. to unite two divided houses. Think in this vein..We were one family with a common culture, who fought together for independence. Unfortunately, the house was divided, two families with much enmity towards each other. Now the story has progressed so far so much blood shed and war and efforts for peace..The climax could be in the form of a solution to the Kashmir issue.

I think this is the ultimate dream of pakistan, to remove kashmir from India's Map. I as an INDIAN would like all me fellow country men to come forward and deny this proposal of United States of Kashmir. Kashmir is suppose to be India's head and they are tring to chop that off. We should not entertain such proposals and all try and get back POK. Either by good relation or by WAR but POK should be retained as earliest. "Doodh maango ge, Khir denge.Kashmir Maango ge, To CHIR denge: Jai Hind."
kashmir is already a peacefull state, because minority has been already thrown out, that is why there is no conflict. in the situations, where govt is not bothered about the minority, it is better to seize the property of minority and atleast the assests of govt will increase and declare kashmir - a state of majority comunity and rename it as united state of true kashmir- one community-one brotherhood concept . i am ready to donate my home-sweet home for the cause, infact done already.! minority communities best wishes are always with hurriyat and other parties. atleast they are thinking for their community. there are the leadership crisis in minority . i request hurriyat to redefine/RENAME so called kashmiriyat also. i also thank govt of india for talks- atleast with majority community.
united states of kashmir ?? - (cough)hahahohaha(cough) - what a joke, it cud have been thought of only by the hurriyat....a bunch of jokers pretending to be the sole representatives of kashmir when they are not. It is in the best interests of hurriyat & kashmiris to a part of the indian union and seek redressal of their greviences within the framework of indian democracy & consitution. Indeed they are fortunate that kashmir is a part of india, if it was a part of an authoritarian state like china, they would have been ruthlessly suppressed & eliminated. When a huge diversity of people can live peacefully and pledge their allegiance to India, a nation built on the ideals of plurality & secularism...what is stopping the kashmiris from doing the same ?.....actually the heart of the problem lies with the kashmiris themselves....and the problem is their refusal to coexist with others in a democratic nation and their idea of wanting to live in utopian Islamic state.
