Hats off to the free and fair opinion expressed by RAMANI.Was Advanijis visit and agenda not reviewed by himself befor he landed in Pakistan?
Well the PAK leaders have sown the seeds of dissension in the Hindu society.
Its for all like minded Hindus to accept his resignation. No matter what so ever should he continue as BJPs leader.
Somebody like Uma Bharati should take over the party presidentship.

the article has excellently put forward the background for Advani's comments. I'm surprised that a seasoned politician like Advani can make such a mistake. He has not only disappointed just the harcore hindus but most indians aswell.

Dear Mr Raman,
Thanks for giving such a descriptive and deep insight of the pre-independence/partition realities, if otherwise i would have been with Mr Advani for his remarks about Mr Jinnah in Pakistan.
Also please comment on Mr Vajpayee's comments on Advani's remarks.
Your column would have been much more effective if you have taken a neutral stand about the Hindu-Parivar stuff. It just sucks.
