i think advaniji was in his best moods when he said this .that mood must have been created by the hospitality given to him by our friends there .i beleive this is a good gesture of peace that made even advaniji to praise mr.jinnahji.

I think it is a political drama
by Maak on Jun 07, 2005 06:52 PM  Permalink

Dear Readers,

Had Mr.Advani used the same words about Mr.Jinnah when he was in India or during his tenure, NO. And when he is in pakistan he has to talk about Mr.Jinnah in a positive way. BJP was unsuccessful in winning the muslim votes in India and now trying hands by convincing muslims outside India. I think in my view its all a political move by Mr.Advani to lurr again the muslim votes which i dont think so it will succeed.

Advani on Jinnah
by S R Ganguli on Jun 07, 2005 05:40 PM  Permalink

L K Advani is quite right about his comments on Jinnah. Jinnah was no less secular than Gandhi and Nehru. Who asked Gandhi to keep a distance from the Khaliphat movement in Turkey? It was Mohd. Jinnah. Jinnah became concerned about Muslims in India because of so-called secular Indian politicians. Advani only quoted historical antecedents. RSS an agent provocateur for Congress should shut up.

Advani\'s Resignation
by Philip Kuriakose on Jun 07, 2005 05:00 PM  Permalink

Being fundamentalist and fanatics, Indians, Indian political parties and leaders are one step or many steps ahead of Pakistanis.

How can Mr. Advani criticize the Father of the nation of Pakistan, when he is on a good will visit to Pakistan?

To me Mr. Advani is a great Indian who is trying to restore good relations with Pakistan, He is one of the few truthful Indian Political leaders.

I like his way of working, I admire and respect him, one of the few Indians who have guts to talk what he think correct.

Advaniji is right
by Hiten Chavda on Jun 07, 2005 01:11 PM  Permalink

Advaniji is right in saying that Mohammad Ali Jinnah was a secular leader. He knows many facts of that time that the present day individuals might not be aware of. Actually if people know the history properly, Jinnah demanded the partition just to save the interests of Muslims in India. He was just a bit over concirned about the rights of muslims in this newly forming republic. The fact that he died early after independence and that the other leaders in newly formed Pakistan gave it a totally different look of a strongly Islamic nation, is just a bad consequence of lack of proper planning on his part.

What a big hippocrite. Till the time he is in India he doesnt like Muslims and accuse all patriotic indian muslims of this country as pakistanis. That is not true.
