The unsecular ''Secularist''
by Joedha Ghosh on Jun 04, 2005 03:38 PM  Permalink

Let me first thank Kanchan for this article. I feel Leftist are like plague, which eats up the system. As aware individuals we must not fall prey to the howling of he leftists. They have always shown great concern for a community but they themselves don't practice religion, then why they pork their nose in the great religious mix of our country. We must get rid of these plague as fast as possible. From the beginning they have been a headache for India and its development.
Now when India is doing good these people like fanatic fundamentalists keep on howling about brutalities against a community which are no where near the truth.
Look what they have done to the states that are under their control. The border towns of West Bengal are full of migrants from Bangladesh and they gives voters I card, so that they become their potential vote bank.
I want to speak a lot against these principle less people but at thia moment want to thank Kanchan for the facts which he provided and I urge media to practice secularism in its true sense, not by favouring a community.

What made this state, which gave Mahatma, n a lot of people to our country in the past, n recently ambani in to so problamatic and morphed as a barbaric society...definetly not the people of Gujarat...Its the politicians who made it...some for the votes of one religion..and the others to get the votes of other religions...but i dont really agree with leftist parties here..they want to give everything to the undeserved in the form of some goodies...Even Dr.Ambedkar him self didnt wanted to continue the reservations after 20 years..and still we are watching the politicians talking about extending to all..same there applies to religion..i am sure the people of gujarat where men associate their name with 'bhai" and women with "behn ~ behan" wont be doing this kind of acts..
Finally I totally agree with the fellow people who say that these politicians always re-phrase anything to their own advantages...

Communal truth,secular lies.
by Mohan on Jun 04, 2005 01:44 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Hi,
All said and done, why this issue of Godhra is being protracted, who are the beneficiaries and who are the losers? How long the delhi riots or for that matter any other riot was exploited for political petty gains? Is the term secularism limited to Indian scenario?Who were the ones responsible for 9/11 and demolition of Buddha idols?
If these questions are posed then in retortion few more against these would come up, so there is no end to this. The word of the day is secularism, which means, as derived by the politicians, don't serve any community, don't preach any community, don't do any thing which goes to uplift the poor, don't do justice to any community and do not allow communities to unite and live together because all these would be detrimental to political community. Finally, common man's plight is to succumb to political games of the politicians.

Regards,
Mohan.

Facist outrage
by PPK on Jun 04, 2005 08:49 AM  Permalink

This article is the typical example of a facist perspective to any events and just by focusing marxists nothing can be justified. This is not expected from Rediff to publish such meaningless cheap articles. Shame on you guys!
