i love this article and observation, congress party is the worst party of india which has its own definition of secularism and relition. Its pity that in india only 55% of people excercise thier votes, out of that 35% are below poverty line. Congress knows very well how to lure these 35% class by sending Whole gandhi familiy to their slums and earn thier votes. rest 20% are undecided whom to vote, so their votes are staggered. NDA and specially BJP is much and far better.. Atleast they are not dependend of Nehru / Gandhi family.
excellent article. i appreciate the way Mr. Kanchan Gupta has showed courage to unleash the true picture of the so-called psedo-secularists. this is a pity, still people of our nation are unwilling to digest the hard-truth. the leftist are the real danger for our democracy and our secularism. so as Laloo Maharaj, Ram vilas Paswan and Congress. they still allege to a particular party for communalism. and project themselves as the protector of muslims and hence secular. it's really an eye-opener to those who claim to be secular and people sho support their ideology. if anybody try to project himself as a secular ,the best way is to bash against the BJP/VHP/RSS , and say something appraising of muslims.you would be regarded as a true secular. anyway, this is a really eye-opned to those millions of indian. i may request the editor of rediff.com to publish this article in all the leading daily newspaper. kudos to Kanchan Gupta.
Rubbish. Kar sevaks were roasted by their own cooking, or an internal fire from some other source. The whole world knows this. Get your facts right Ms. Gupta before putting up an article on a reputed website like this. Also, the fact that people like kar sevaks etc carry their own stove for cooking is not hidden. Howoever, I suspect this fire was implanted by gang modi, to prepare grounds and provoke fanatic hindus to launch an assault on innocent muslims. Furthermore, what was the gaurav yatra.
On to the main point, I would agree with you that a lot of attrocities carried out on innocent muslims by fanatic hindus was under the rule of congress, but still we are yet to see congress carrying out things like the 'Gaurav Yatra'.
Whether in all these issues, MEDIA is to be blamed for all the information / misinformation / excess reporting / non reporting etc. which all leads to creation of hatread & ill felings among INDIANS. Why can't we have BBC for authentic / accurate reporting of each event, whether it is Hindu / Muslim - BJP / Congress - Gebels - Left etc.
I don't understand the moral of this writing, appears to me that the authur is more inclined to fullfill political interest of one political section. So for you kanchan, what actually secularism is? And who are secularist? Congress-Left are psuedo secularist (if i buy your point), BJP-sangh non secularist(read communal)(with which you won't agree but I do) and you also smells otherwise. Are you trying to say the later one is to be choosen as their statistics are better. I appreciate your writing skills but please use it for right puporse. Help people to decide rather making them accept your judgement as you can see the message board most of us are in delima about secularism. If i get it correctly then those whose's survival(political/social/economic) is at stake turns secular and rest remain confused till their turn comes.

As far as the facts of burning the train is concerned if you expect people to believe the report given by a puppet appointed by Mr.Laloo, then God save India. I am sure everyone knows how it happened & let nobody have any doubts about it. What Kanchan wtote is no shit as you mentioned but facts. Its quite unfortunate that facts are considered as shit and cooked up stories truth as they are being repeated by psuedo-secularists like Congress and Communist. BJP is definitely not secular but to say Congress and communist are secular is the biggest farse on earth. So please learn to digest the facts, that Godhra happened first and then riots and both definitely are very unfortunate.
