P.M. did right, as Britishers deserve a pat!
by B.Gautam on Aug 02, 2005 03:30 PM  Permalink

Perhaps, a tiny group under the banner of B.J.P., suffers from lunacy due to ignorance! Whatever they talk from time to time, though, does not go in the welfare of the people in large, surely display their ignorance! History cannot forget certain valued contributions of Britishers to this country during their rule, such as services to health and education, provision of good administration, constitution and judiciary, development of science and technology and above all, rendering a well disciplined society! Let them not forget that most of whatever they use today are also glittering evidence of those left behind by Britishers! Let these few prejudiced in B.J.P. not forget that corruption did not thrive like that it does now! Efficiency and talent found their place! Of course, crookedness and selfishness werent so prominent! In short, we drove them to dig our own grave, as we could not do any better!
Prime Minister, being an unbiased scholar, could see their contribution in right perspective! Let us appreciate him for his bold step! Let us unitedly pray Shree Ram to enlighten these few in B.J.P. to contribute to people in miseries, instead of playing such games that can no more survive, for God's mission, after all, is to help the needy!

by bliss on Jul 30, 2005 05:00 AM  Permalink

It is wrong to say that weapon scientists are criticizing the US-India neuclear deal.No one did.Only the leftists aowedly anti -us are in the forefront of any improvement in Indo-US agreements. The opposition 's duty is to oppose ebeything done by the Govt of the day.So we cannot blame them.

Useless Criticism
by Er Singh SD on Jul 30, 2005 12:28 AM  Permalink

It is true that our PM is being made target by those politicians who doesn't have any right to say so.By the way most vocal critic is George Farnandz who let us down by getting himself stripped at airport in USA AS A SENIOR Cabinet Minister ?or we can say that that man is dreaming to be PM of India?Name any other politician of BJP viz Sushma,Uma,Malhotra,Advani,Naidu,Manohar Joshi ?etc.even Mr Bajpai they cab bark just at home whereas our Reverred Prime Minister is that man who was given overwhelming support by G.Bush and other Americans. He was that man who addressed Senate,he was that who is getting respect and warmth all over the world. He is not getting all those things just by being a PM but he is a man with honesty, fountain of ideas, dynamic and directional approach,Mount Everest of Scholars.Infacy we are lucky that we are led by two men who are supreme in their fields and both are the best example of honesty. Can any other politician match their capability?I don't think so.Infact Indian have learnt a lot in the last 50 years and they are not going to vote for all those politician who are lithargic, old, frail and sick, without brains, corrupt and those who think themselves above law

Baseless criticism
by Narayanaswami on Jul 29, 2005 08:55 PM  Permalink

Let it be a baseless criticism , but in such a sensitive issue, it is a welcome attitude.

After all everything is going to be discussed by the law makers, let the PM also come out with his arguement to blunt the baseless criticism.

But at this stage we should not try to stop such debate.

Baseless criticism of PM
by Krishan K Arora on Jul 29, 2005 07:21 PM  Permalink

I agree with the author completely word by word. Leave Mr Vajpayee's criticism. He has no courage to speak the truth. Just leave him alone and let him get retired gracefully if he so wishes or else he will be ousted by his own party one day very soon. In my opinion the nation trusts Dr Manmohan Singh all the way as he is God fearing, courageous, principled, honest, starightforward, upright, always does the right thing which is in the interest of the nation even at the cost of his own chair and never changes his right agreements or decisions even under heavy criticism. In my view all the opposition parties must strengthn his hands to enable him surge the country become a super power very very soon. Only the enemies of this country will not support him all the way.

Criticism of PM
by R K Iyer on Jul 29, 2005 06:45 PM  Permalink

It seems it is impossible to be a gentleman. It's so sad to see these no account communists and communalists criticizing everything that Dr Manmohan Singh does or says. One wishes they would be a bit more sporting, and support the great man, rather than indulge in their antics.

What an argument !!!
by atul on Jul 29, 2005 06:13 PM  Permalink

The author will lead us to believe that we have achieved a great thing by allowing american inspectors in and by differentiating civilian and weapons sites. Makes all the more easier for an outsider to bomb them out of existence !!!

How do we develop this kind of thinking is a wonder !!

Justified criticism
by JJ on Jul 29, 2005 05:57 PM  Permalink

Hi there Editor,

The PM and the congress was foolish enough to sign up something and take credit. If only they had started with saying that the whole stuff was a NDA initiation which the current government had finally accomplished, it would have been ruling party - opposition party bhai-bhai. It all boils down to "never take credit for what you did not initiate; balance it in such a fashion that both take credit but you take credit for what you accomplished"

Regards,
JJ
