by Dr.S.John Bosco, Ph.D. on Jul 29, 2005 09:44 AM  Permalink

A revolution in Indian education shows that India has taken "the giant step for mankind" ... Two important aspects: (a) Students are trained and tuned from small to watch concentratedly a TV program and attentively absorb minute details of the videos on the screen & (b) Teachers find it difficult to deliver lectures to meet the "high demands" of the students without the "mass media" helps.
Edusat scores a triple victory at one stroke by bringing directly to the convenience of the home world-class educational programs in the language of the TV owner! (Dr.S.John Bosco,Ph.D. - Chennai -29th July 2005).

He is the man

I'm so glad to see the vision of Kalam. If india has few gread leaders like him, imagine the potential India has and growth India will have in comming years. The younger generation in india must identify the bad leaders such as Lalloo in Bihar, Karunakaran and his son in Kerala etc...(a lot in the list) and throw away them public life. Kudos to Kalam and his team

Kalam Ji --Congratulations for Satellite Education
by SatinderMullick on Jul 29, 2005 03:03 AM  Permalink

I think that Satellite education offers great chance to reach illiterate and young children.
Illiteracy leads to poverty and overpopulation. Many studies inc.World Bank studies show high correlation between Lieracy and birthrate.
President Kalam needs our greatest support for this idea.
