Cheers to Mumbai Heroes
by Mandar Vaidya on Jul 27, 2005 07:08 PM  Permalink

This is Mind Blowing!!! Cheers to the Local heroes and the rediff correspondent. This is what makes us Mumbaites proud and this is what makes Mumbai a unique place anywhere in the world. I guess there is no way to recognize the efforts of these heroes officially by the government, but the only way of recognition is a big applause from all of us Mumbaites. I am currently based in Bangalore, but when I read something like this, it makes me really Proud to be a typical Mumbai-ite - Salaam Amchi Mumbai!!! you will not find such heroes anywhere else outside Mumbai.

helping people in distress
by satish saxena on Jul 27, 2005 07:06 PM  Permalink

It is heartening to read the narration how local people helped the bus passengers and all those who were in distress.Basic instinct to help is very much there in human beings. We are all good.Personal interests of those who wish to lead make people do things which normally they would not like to do.May natural goodness in human beings prevail.
Congratulations, Best Wishes and Thanks to local Kurla people.
