Although I am a strong supporter of govt not interefering in anything other than law and order and national defence, I have to say that this is a good step taken by the govt. I have gone to the bar once myself, and was apalled to see the way in which people throw the money at these girls, and how young they are.
Nope, it is a good step, I support it. Those girls have enough money from their earnings, the govt should educate them rather than giving them jobs, so they become self reliant.
I really appreciate the daring step of the Maharastra Govt regarding the ban of dance bars.Initially it may be tough for the lives of the needy who are already in this profession, necessary employement schemes provided by the Govt should support the existence of these bar girls.
While the intentions of the Govt is laudable, it is a fact that no reform of the kind can be implemented in toto, unless the public/authorities concerned also cooperate. Clandestine bars will continue to flourish; only way to raise moral standards of the people is to help educate the poor deprived sections of the masses to stand on own legs and empower the girls to learn some alternate arts to survive instead of falling prey to the easy way out to make money. And our leaders in all fields must accept this respobsibility and work with zeal to make living better for all. Pray God help us in this task. PNSubrmaniam
For the first time in my life i am commenting over some topic... i just want to say tht it is very hard to believe in politicians n make out their intensions from the speech they deliver in public. but for the first time i can hear a person(R.R.PATIL) saying negative abt police n politicians. Very Rarely we find such Politicians who really talks like humans...in todays world....I think Mr.R.R.Patil can really bring in some growth and change in coming years in maharashtra state.
