do all these require all these media hype ?. not sure whether the US media is giving kind of importance like this. atleast their sites doesn't!
we all know that the US are the most oppurtunistic bunch around and no one knows which way they'd move tomorrow. it all depends on oil and money!!!. lets not fall over on all these show-off. afterall, we all know what talk of us once the doors are closed (kissinger story :-))

I agree with Shaw. It is an absolute waste of time and money to hope for a gas line from Iran, crossing other Muslim countries. I can trust the US anytime, when choosing between the US and Islamic countries. Anand!

Taher, The Iran-Pakistan-India gas pipeline is nothing but a pipe-dream ;-) Nothing will come off it. India should not waste any resources over a project which is fraught with so many risks. The Islamic states of Iran and Pakistan just cannot be trusted. Far better for us (Indians) to allign with the USA.
... behind this move is the Ind_IRan Gas pipeline. US never wants India to get the Gas from Iran via pakistan. As this will leave a major impact in the region as well as on india, for the economic and social development and peace.
As a result, as expected, US is offering the nuclear power plant. Otherwise, Was India not a responsible nuclear state in past ????
