Indo-US Relations. Manmohan Singh's Visit etc
by C D Pereira on Jul 18, 2005 03:57 PM  Permalink

It is not too early to accept that US is the world's most powerful Democracy, while India is the largest,& hence for the two to tango would be quite natural.Surely, being friendly towards ALL nations of the world is the bedrock of India's Foreign Policy.Only when you are friends can you hope to influence the others.Confrontation can only harden attitudes sometimes adversely. Our friends who call themselves Communist or the leftists seem to live in the past & almost irrelevant in today's priorities. At least they ought to keep diplomatic silence when the Head of Govt. is on an important friendly mission abroad.

India is one of the emerging economic powerhouse in the world. No wonder United States and Other countries giving much importance to India in the recent time.
Dr.Singh started the reform in the 90s and he is well deserved for the red carpet!

The 7/7 in London caused so much uproar in Europe and America but the Ayodhya attacks and the several 7/7 that India has been facing for the past 15 years is of no concern to them. Daily reports of infiltration attempts and shootouts and encounters along the LoC show how much influence America is exerting over Pak regarding its stopping the aid o terrorists, whereas its a well known fact the if America really puts up a stand the cross-border assistance to the terrorists can be stopped in one go...

First PM with brains
by Murali on Jul 18, 2005 09:39 AM  Permalink

For the first in Indian politics, we have a leader with a vision and strategy. India needs to acknowledge the historic mistake of positioning itself as Soviet ally and make an intelligent though belated move by changing sides.
