Rane
by T.P. Viswanathan on Jul 03, 2005 06:33 PM  Permalink

Rane has been expelled, but who is next! At this rate Sena, once touted as the most disciplined party in Maharashtra, will become victim of its own contradictions.

What is going wrong with the party?
by JAYANT on Jul 03, 2005 05:59 PM  Permalink

First it was Sanjay Nirupam and then the sad news of Shri Narayan Rane leaving the Shiv Sena is a big jolt to the party image. Whatever Balasaheb says may be digested with the Sainiks but the ground reality is completely different. Probably the senior party leaders are not happy with the way Uddhav is handling party matters or probably Balasaheb is shielding Uddhav and his wrong doings in a big way so as to make the senior party functionaries very uncomfortable. At a time when Sharad Pawar is coming back in a big way and the Congress is managing the show of running the Nation pretty well, it is most disheartening to know of big stalwarts leaving Shiv Sena barren. I will not be surprised if Manohar Joshi too decides to do the same think in near future. The Shiv Sena ally BJP is facing a lot of problems from both within and outside its ranks. Capable Shiv Sena leader Shri Raj Thackrey is sidelined and now trying for a comeback in his own way. It is time for Balasaheb to take a serious cognisance on the issue rather than giving out feary speeches and blaming the deserters. Mr. Thackrey, it time to mend things before its too late with deteriorating health and control over party ranks.
