Of course Pakistan will be against this. This is a knee-jerk reaction from Pakistan, as usual. These statements by Pakistan are meant to 1) appease the domenstic Pakistani population 2) To annoy India.
India should just ignore such statements, and pursue better relations with the US as soon as possible. Especially, good news about the just signed defense agreement is the knowledge transfer and co-production aspects. Many contries like Israel, Canada, and the UK jointly develop advance systems with the US, which has proved a great boon to their domestic high tech industries.
The US and India are natural allies, having so much in common, apart from being democratic secular nations - after all, it was Indian tea which started the war of independence. But apart from that, they also have remnants of British colonial legacy - legal system, english language and rule of law. Pakistan can crow as much as they like (they still receive billions of US taxpayers dollars every year) but the the US wil act in her national interests.
