Power can change anything.
by Sandesh Ghogle on Jan 28, 2005 09:17 AM  Permalink

Now since congress has got clean chit, They'll try to take advantage of their position in coming election, Its shocking to see rioters remain free & law as usual is not enough to punish the guilty, In india power can change anything & everything. Better we'd now hope for a better India.

Justice delayed is justice denied....
by Jaspreet Singh on Jan 28, 2005 08:53 AM  Permalink

We are part of a democratic country sorry the world's biggest democratice country where people like Sajjan Kumar and other high profile people always have a life support system called commission for whatever crime they do.

After 20 years we are still finding out on whom the inquiry should start... instead of justice we get report saying there should be an inquiry on so and so person......

Will there be any justice in India? Is law in India only for giving punishment to poor people? Will high profile people ever get the same justice a normal person in India gets?

'Cong not to blame for '84 riots
by Deepak on Jan 28, 2005 08:52 AM  Permalink

Am I the only one that finds this surprising:
1: Godhra incidence is being pursued with a vengence and various comissions are being set up despite existing inquiries.

2: The 1984 carnage - reports are comming in after ...hold your breath ... 20 years!!

But then that is the Congress way of doing things...when will our people every learn...perhaps never..hopefully by the next elections..

Cheers!

4-riots-report- Big Joke
by Ramanath on Jan 28, 2005 08:39 AM  Permalink

With COng being at helm of affairs and sonia gandhi in such a powerful position , a clean chit to congress is expected. This report follows a report on Godhra incident where in BJP is held completely responsible but in case of 84 riots the commission cannot hold a party responsible. This is a big joke, one will not be surprised if there is another report which will implicate BJP for 84 anti-sikh riots

Congress not to be blamed for the 1984 riots, but BJP has to shoulder the moral responsibility for Godhra.

Long live congress sponsored secularism.

I am sick of this
by Baskaran Mani on Jan 28, 2005 07:35 AM  Permalink

God save this country! You know how this is - its like telling Modi and Gujarat Govt was not involved in the post Godhra riots/VHP and BJP is not involved in Mosque demolition/Jinnah did not split the country/muslims are not responsible for Kashmiri pandits ethnic cleansing and so on -how long are we going to put up with such corrupt practices in our country? Perpetrator, instigator and the silent spectator - all are to be blamed in riots and ethnic cleansng such as this. This is why young people get sick and get out of the country and lead their own life or turn into naxalites and terrorists out of desperation.

Cong not to blame for 84 riots
by A.P.Srivastava on Jan 28, 2005 04:57 AM  Permalink

I consider this another attempt (Like Laloo did by setting up Banerjee commission whose findings were on the expected lines) to obtain a certificate either in favour of the ruling Govt. or against the previous Govt. People's memory is short but not of all the people. I remember two things very clearly; One the slogan around Indira Gandhi's body placed for Darshan and the other by our great former PM that when a big tree falls the big bang follows. Are these not enough to suggesr involvement of Congress party up to the highest levels.I do'nt see any difference between this and Narendra Modi's theory of Newton " Every action has an equal and opposite reaction.
