Benny Hinn was in India before
by Rajan on Jan 25, 2005 12:28 AM  Permalink

Where was this half-retard when his beloved BJP government grated Benny Hinn a visa to conduct an event in Mumbai that was big as the Bangalore one if not bigger. Where was this white trash when Bal Thackarey met Benny Hinn?

India Shining

I have different view point from the author. There are lot of statements that he has made like Sikh PM and Muslim President of India, we as Indians understand that being a Sikh or Muslim doesn't mean that they are anyless Indians than a Hindu.

India is a great country where everybody is treated equally whatever their religion is. I am amazed that the educated people want to make boundries based on religion.

Buddy, you stay in the US and you talk as if you have your pulse on what India is facing... being tolerant about other peoples religions or being cowards is something that you have to figure out about us Hindus in India and I believe we fall in the latter category. So, before your spout your intellectualism, get your facts straight.

cry...definitely but not on wrong reasons
by parul jain on Jan 25, 2005 12:00 AM  Permalink

i started reading this article thinking that it is really based on the actual problems faced by our country. Ironically even though the title suggests otherwise its not even close to the real problems.

I am astonished at the utter confusion of the writer whether it was intended to bring out the obstacles faced by indians or just orthodox hinduism.

I don't think our democracy needs to go through the numebrs of hindus, muslims, sikhs or christians before electing our leaders. That's true that many politicians are roaming free where in fact they should be behind bars. But that does not justify the wrong deeds by our religious leaders.

Instead of inspiring people to go forward this article takes us back to the age old caste system and an era where everything was based on religion.

I really do not agree with the views of this article.

Mother India will never and need never cry
by Ashwini on Jan 25, 2005 12:00 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

To comment on the apparent disunity among all the sincere servants of god is utter foolishness, none of us have the right to pass such remarks which would have at the most sprung from partial knowledge if not absolute ignorance. Our nation has a very very high and powerful consciousness, fully aware of its own mission. My Mother India will never cry: she rejoices in the knowledge that she has many children who will give their lives for her. It's a really bad joke to suggest that she will perish, the author should read the Gita sometime.
