Possession of the Brahmos does give an edge to India as an effective defense against over the Pakistan's missile system armed with nuclear devices. With the support of an early warning radar system a sytem of Brahmos deployed near Pak border can destroy any missile can taking off from any part of Pak territory. Missiles are slow immediately after they take off and hence are easy targets for Brahmos.
Is'nt exporting Brahmos, a security risk. What can prevent Pakistan from acquiring it from abroad or purchasing it through a proxy.
Also what can prevent any country from reverse-engineering it to produce them themselves. It is well known how cleverly, China used to duplicate Russian equipments being transferred to North Vietnam war during the Vietnam war. They were successful in duplicating almost every weapon including the MIGs.
So India needs to think twice before exporting this unique possession.
