Why climb and measure?
by surendramohan on Feb 19, 2005 09:34 PM  Permalink

Accoutred with GPS, why should one actually climb the peak to measure it? Unless if there are other survey objectives associated. I believe a onetime installation of the transmitting device to GPS satellites should suffice. Any reason why this cannot be done?

China has no right to do any study regarding Mt. Everest and other Himalayan hills.

These entire region is subject of India and Tibet government. And we (India & Tibet) don't want to interference of China in our Himalayan hills.

Please check facts first. Mt. Everest is on the border of Nepal and Tibet. It has nothing to do with India. And, Tibet is a part of China.
