As Manali , growth of tourism increased risk arises.
Author elaborates, how natural avalanche and terrorist-Induced avalanche like hazard can be forecasted and countered by conventional and unconventional techniques and how preparedness is possible with VoIP based GIS-PP.

Casualties are common by avalanches -- sliding masses, often slabs, of snow and ice that can let loose on moderately steep slopes with little warning, reaching speeds over 100 mph and carrying rocks, trees, debris and people with them

During the winter due to snowfall in the upper reaches of Jammu & Kashmir, terrorists tend to gravitate towards the bigger population centers and the lower reaches of the J & K State. In routine infiltration take place each summer along the LoC.

Purpose of study is how we counter natural and terrorist induced avalanches with latest technology including.
Preparedness : No to terror, yes to freedom, steps preparedness: We cant live in closed doors.
