There is A Proverb in Tamil about Justice. Loosely translated it goes like this: " King will deliver Justice 'today' and the GOD will do it in leisure".
(Arasu Indru Kollum. Dheivam Nindru kollum)
King of Nepal seems to be an exception to this. May God Bless this King or Speed Up His Deliverance.
I have experienced both King rule and politicians rule. during king rule there has been total discipline though corruption existed because of the poverty. but when politicians took over it was large scale and spread to every walks of life. from the peon to the highest officer in a department was corrupt because it is democracy. efficiency went down and poor man remained where they were and rich became more rich. whether it is china or india backs, politics will make again corrupt and let the king rule in a disciplined way
It is disappopinting to ntoe that the news of the decision of the Nepal government to clsoe down the Dalai Lama's office at Khatmandu was not covered by most of the mainline dailies. This shows the depth of their coverage. Only one newspaper covered this.
We have not learnt the lesson of the Pakistanis hijacking of our aircraft. NOr is the country reacting to the increasing Beijing influence at our backyard.
Added to this is the Maoist threat -filtering thorugh INdia and establishing their link with the Naxalite and other outfits in the country. IN this context, it is also shocking to find an inconsistent approach, with the congress government encouraging a soft line with Naxalites as witness tgheir starting dialaogue with them in AP.
Hope Parliament will ensure a fuller debate on our Nepal relations when it assembles.
Hi, It will be welcomed if there is a good reasearch on "Will india become next Nepal". By seeing the Maoist attrocites in India extendng upto several states. There is a feeling that the maoists will take control of much countrysides (as most of the naplas country sides are occupied by Nepal). The central govt has to step up their contribution on curbing this extremism. thanks and regards, Hari
