FORGET AND FORGIVE
by krusat on Feb 22, 2011 05:26 PM  Permalink

We are all Indians. Let us forget and forgive others and move forward. Both sides suffered. Only the person who lost his kith and kin knows the value for life. Be it hindu or muslim. Our sympathies are with those who lost. I request the media not to publish reports which cause pain to one or other community.

Godhra Case
by Mohiuddin on Feb 09, 2005 11:43 AM  Permalink

Dear sir,
Godhra case article is excellent. Definitley the accused must be punished.
What the Gujarat police was doing when thousands of people were burnt alive, murdered, raped and their property was either looted or destroyed. Did anyone has punished yet, did any chargesheets have been submitted. Why Gujarat police is protecting the criminals there. As everyone knows what is happening in one case that is Best Bakery case.
you are a journalist, you should be anonymous, and shouldn't be communal.

with regards.

You have said that 75 "Intellectuals" have written. How did you decide that these are intellectuals. Does it mean that those who have not signed these are not intellectuals?
Present evidence; do not jump to conclusions

Burning fuel
by Dr T S Raman on Feb 08, 2005 09:55 AM  Permalink

My comment is only on "QUESTION 3 -- Justice Bannerji states the passengers who suffered injuries on the upper portion of their bodies crawled towards the door on their elbows and got away without much injury. ..."

When petrol (or alcohol or kerosene oil or any other liquid) burns, it is actually the *vapour* that burns and forms the flame. If you soak a wad of cotton in petrol and light it, the cotton will start burning only after the petrol has mostly or entirely burnt out.

In the railway coach, petrol poured on the floor and lit would have produced petrol vapour that would rise to the upper part of the coach and burn there. The flames would easily move to areas away from the place where the liquid was originally poured.

In view of the above, the interpretation given by the Bannerji panel is puerile.
