If the BJP are so worried about conversions, what have they done to ameliorate the plight of the lowcastes and outcastes - have they opened their hearts and wallets to these folks? Have they gone so far as to call for the outlawing of caste as an 'evil' - the evil which has balkanized the society and helped create the environment for these poor wretches to convert to other more welcoming faiths? Where are the Hindu missionaries who are working for the betterment and upliftment of this long suffering and oppressed segment of their soceity?
