attack on IISc Bangalore
by nadia sani on Dec 29, 2005 03:56 PM  Permalink

This has been shocking news.
Our leaders are very articulate: the reaction of the Karnataka Chief Minister N Dharam Singh in defining the attack "unfortunate" is disgusting.
"Unfortunate" is when you miss something or when you have no luck. Any such attack ican only be described as "horrifying", "shocking" or "terrifying" and to denounce.

Immediate action should have been taken to call in the police and circle the area to catch the assailants. The guards who ran away should be dismissed immediately.
How can we react so calmly and stupidly apathetically to death and violence when it strikes the civillian world? Especially the brains of our country?
It is well known that India does not protect her own if nto politician or wealthy industrialist.
It is time to take a stand and induct guards who have the capacity and stamina if not courage to do their jobs. Why are our guards all older/puny/untrained & undernourished? Where is the police when you need it?Time for Indians to rise and react strongly against terrorism and inadequate protection of rights and of person. Wake-up Scientists, industrialists and students!Demand justice.Cooperate so this infamy cannot be repeated ever.
