It is high time that India must build international or local pressure on Bangladesh; Before it becomes another Pakistan. Another important thing to see that Bangladesh is not even recognizes the problem! There can be seen multiple instances of the same. It seems that from PM to any police officer of Bangladesh, all just say, "there are no anti India activities going in Bangladesh". Co-operation with Bhutan was good example. India must review the Nepal policy as well. India should also review the Lanka policy before another country comes in and captures the strategic locations. The last possible act can be include the international community in Bangladesh issue. Direct hit on the terroris camps can also be sought. India must also do build economic pressure/cut business from Banladesh and so on.
One understands the High Commissioner's affinity for diplomatic jargon...it's cdertainly a part of her job. However, there is such a thing as too much sugar. Was it only me, or was Veena Sikri laying it on a bit thick? There are times when one should call a spade a spade. From her over-use of 'diplomatese' the only thing that comes across is that she (and by extension, India) is afraid on stepping on some toes here. And that is something I fail to understand. Is it because we don't have much clout over that country? Is it because we are not a big donor of aid to that country, that we cannot turn off the proverbial tap?
