achivement of 2005
by priya james on Dec 23, 2005 07:32 PM  Permalink

i am glad and proud of the current government, who exhibited courage to expel the unwanted bactierias from the parilament. and its surprising that there are people to support these bactierias. i think indian population should try to comprehend the crediblity of the people who plead for them. media and the government is a great job. i would say this is one of the achivement of this year.

Tainted MPs- BJP protest
by Sanjeev on Dec 23, 2005 07:08 PM  Permalink

The BJPs staging a walkout on the issue of the expulsion of the tainted MPs is a blasphemy to the country.

It is ridiculous that these MPs stoop so low to make money. The fact that BJP supports the cause of these tainted MPs shows that BJP supports such nasty things.

I also happened to see the happnings in the Lower House of Parliament on this issue and that some of the MPs were raising their voice that the media should be first targeted and then these MPs. Are these the MPs which we the citizens of India have elected. The BJP has been crying hoarse over the tainted MPs issue since the Congress resumed power. Now it is supporting them. What does it reflect on the leaders of these tainted parties.

Is this the type of democracy we are supposed to live in ??

just expulsion
by Vineet on Dec 23, 2005 06:43 PM  Permalink

the sad part of the whole story is that the corrupt MPs were only expelled. Had it been on ordinary clerk or any other person, he would be put behind bars.
It should be just a matter of time that the constitutin is amended to make it legal for all MP & MLA to take bribes, commit rape & murder etc. Surely the bill will bet a 100 % majority & there will be no walkout.

Fantastic
by Rishad Cooper on Dec 23, 2005 06:36 PM  Permalink

Fantastic stuff,
Lets hope they stay expelled. And lets also pray someone expells those crying that its too stiff punishment. In any sane individuals view expulsion is leniency and not stiff. Throwing all the swine behind bars for 5 years would be more fitting a punishment.

Tainted MPS
by Sunil Gupta on Dec 23, 2005 05:51 PM  Permalink

India should get rid off all the tainted politicians who have no morals irrespective of partylines, and Election Commission should debar them for life. Any funding to the political party should be made transparent.
