This article takes stock only to deframe Government
by Arun on Dec 20, 2005 11:50 AM  Permalink

Hi Author

Thanks for giving an account of one year down Tsunami. The way you try to conclude seems to be giving an edge for NGO. You should know, I the government mechinary is responding to Post Tsunami - Take for instance Nagi and Cuddulore Collectors... they have been doing nice work. Thus forth, before commenting on Government, try to make you fact right... and give the due credit to government.

Many NGOs are worth mentioning
by Rob Roy on Dec 20, 2005 01:40 AM  Permalink

Your article should include Mata Amritananandamayi Math's contribution among the NGOs. They have built a large number of houses for the victims and
continue to run shelters.

The tsunami, in numbers
by labrea on Dec 19, 2005 10:24 PM  Permalink

The Christian charities have always stood at the forefront in so many tragedies. So where are the Hindu charities, and the temples trusts with their huge stash of moolah - what have they done for the rehabilitation effort?? The Hindus complain when the ignored poor are converted by the religions which help them, yet they do not put their money where their mouth is - it's time for them to stand up and be counted.
