If Narendra Maharaj is a GODMAN he should first be a GOODMAN,and follow the laws of the land.If he CANT follow these rules, the hell with such persons and their followers.And if he wants to carry his Mace,he should WALK wherever he wants to go,like TRUE GODMEN of yesteryears have done.In fact Narendra Maharaj should be made to PAY for ANY damage that may have been caused to Public property.I dont know if he finally DID travel with his Mace,but,if ever I have the MISFORTUNE of travelling with similar persons,the GODlike character of a common man will be shown to him.That I promise on the God I believe in.
I've just read your news item about the alleged lathi charge of Narendra Maharaj's men at the Mumbai airport. Having just returned from the airport, where I had gone to fetch my aged parents, I can only say that I was wishing that the police were not showing so much restraint but actually getting rid of these miscreants. Just because we live in a democracy gives no group of people to cause so much inconvenience to others. These so-called Godman's (who is he?) followers were blocking all the exits at the airport, shouting slogans and pushing people around. I had gone to the airport with my five year old daughter to receive my parents and felt extremely worried for my daughter's safety. The flight was of course late and even afterwards, passengers were not being allowed to exit. They protestors didn't care if there were people who needed to get out urgently, if there were the old and ailing, small babies. My mother was on a wheelchair and somehow sneaked out by a porter. Long live democracy. And I had thought that the airport was a high-security area. My mistake again. Slashed airfares are at par with a/c second class train fares, so airports have to be at par with railway station!
