I couldnt have agreed more with the author. While it is really unfortunate that a good section (or atleast the more vociferous one) of Islamic followers ahev got misguided abt the true teachings of Islam (or for that matter any religion), the other "more responsible and civilized" world seems to be increasingly turning a blind eye toward the attrocities meeted out to a certain section of people (who non-coincidentally happen to be from Islam following belt of the world). In one way, the civilized world is itslef acting like a terrorist as seen from the eyes of those whom it calls terrorists per its own definition. Complete destruction of Iraq, Afganistan, Chechnya, Palestine - there is surely smth more than mere coincidence and the thread of Islam runs through all these & recent terrorist activities. Its time we begin to adress the root cause of terror - as the author rightly pointed out - anger combined with despair. Lets take care of their anger, the despair will get addressed automatically. and I am no Muslim. but i believe that we dont worship a religion - we just worship different messengers of the universal message - love.
The reality needs to be brought out in the open and let the world know what real ISLAM is All about and Hope Mr abeig we together can get the stone rolling to make the world understand the Religion whose roots Mean nothing except "peace , peace and peace"................Let The world come to debate, with a view to bring justice into their Minds and In their lives, and the various Propoganda that the Countries with "RED AND WHITE STRIPES IN FLAG" are making to degrade ISLAM.
i agree with your thougts, but whereas u are blaming the muslims see the other page of history about americans and israelis what they are doing from centuries are they not killing the innocent people.
the latest example are attacks on afganistan, iraq, palestine etc. is that not a kind of terrorism??.

Assalamualaikum brother, Mashallah u raised some very valid points but what we are trying to say is that brothers it doesnt matter how saintly saddam and osama are but they definetly nothe leaders or representative of Islam for the most of us, Let osama and saddam be tried in open courts and be held guilty for the ghastly crimes they have committed. I dont want to go around rallying for individuals, I as a muslim, is concerned about the maligned image of islam not just in the west but also in the whole world. We condemn the killing of innocents no matter which coomunity or religion the agressor or the victim belong.
