VIOLENCE TO SETTLE FAMILY SCORES.....BUT TRANSMITTED AS A SCOURGE TO HUMANITY.
by GRJ on Oct 15, 2008 09:40 PM  Permalink

May be it is that adamant nature which has made them enemies to their own blood brothers through Abraham or Ibraheem...children of the same father. They have internationalised their palestinean problem and are endangering the planet earth's bounties of happiness with the excuse that there are 72 virgins, rivers of wine, endless youth....................for their unseen heaven !!!

This is the scenario when they made every one is their enemy just because of some petty family property sharing issues between Sara and hajar's children.

But Islamic religion has made it a world scourge and human enmity

Islam and terrorism

I agree with the writer's view. There is not a single verse in Quran which speaks about killing of innocent people. The Jehadis interpret the Quran Ayats acoording to their views which creates a bad impression of islam among non-muslims. Even Allah had said in Quran that a person who kills an innocent person will not be forgiven at the day of resurrection.

Islamic terrorism

Excellent article. The first article clearly asking muslims to condemn atrocities commited by muslims against non-muslims. There should be universal condemnation of indicriminate violence and innnocent killings of both muslims and non-muslims. Many non-muslims get irked when they see prominent muslim bodies painting muslim community as a 'victim' and completely ignoring atrocities done by muslims against others or even against other muslims (as in Africa where Arab muslims opressed African muslims)

Too much of a of the dissection into the Holy Quran....
by Shahrukh Khan on Sep 01, 2005 09:34 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I have been going through the comments of all the readers and am surprised that anyone and everyone has got into the habit of giving their opinions on the "The Holy Quran" and Prophet Mohammed (PBUH). I am sure all the people who commented do not know even their own religious books and religion in depth.
I do not want to get into finger-pointing at anyone's religion, but i will be watching this space for some time now and would like anyone to challenge the statement that i am about to make.
"Every Religions' books, teachings and history have references and legitimisations of violence for certain causes".
After having said that i would like to say sorry to anyone who's feelings have been hurt. But i could not bear to see people with no knowledge about religion(their own or others') pointing fingers at Islam. Please let us practice our own religions properly and i am sure that we will have no violence in any part of the world. This is a very simple sentence but think over it and you will realise the cure for all the hatred around.
I firmly beleive and support all statements made in this article.

Islam does not sanction violence

The Qur'an says:

'God forbids you not, with regards to those who fight you not for (your) faith nor drive you out of your homes, from dealing kindly and justly with them; for God loveth those who are just. (Qur'an, 60:8)

It is one function of Islamic law to protect the privileged status of minorities.Islam granted freedom of worship to all religious communities.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him )said:
'God has no mercy on one who has no mercy for others'.
'Powerful is not he who knocks the other down, indeed powerful is he who controls himself in a fit of anger'.

Jihad in Prophet's times was applicable for when a Muslim community is attacked without
reason, oppressed and prevented from practicing their faith. In these circumstances,
permission is given to fight back -- but even then Muslims are instructed not to transgress
limits, and to cease fighting as soon as the attacker gives up. Even in these circumstances,Muslim are only to fight directly against those who are attacking them, not innocent
bystanders or non-combatants.
Its really a matter of shame that some misguided Muslims call on jihad to
justify their aggressive tactics.
