All the articles on the 1984 riots have some 5 comments in all, 1 article on Hindu's outside India and some 11 responses and counting. Show's the priority of the majority community all right, citizens be damned ( specially if they are minorities), my relgion counts more than any citizen

Dear Harpreet, Undoubtedly the massacre of sikhs by the congress goons under the clear instructions of the 'charming and extremely sensitive young Congress leader' is a major blot on our nation. The much hyped Gujarat riots led to deaths of 800 Hindus due to firing by the 'inactive' Gujarat police whereas not a single congress goon was hurt in police action to stop massacre of innocent sikhs. Who gave the most cruel and insensitive statement "whenever a big tree falls, earth is bound to shake", when he was asked to explain his government's inaction regarding protection of sikhs? It was most painful for me to see sikh ladies and gentlemen dancing around Jagadish Tytler and Sajjan Kumar when they were elected as MPs last year. There was no dearth of sikhs thanking profusely Smt Sonia Gandhi on making a sikh PM of India but none of them dared to ask her to apologise to the sikhs for the massacre ordered by the then Congress president. If sikhs don't show any spine and are ready to forget congress leaders, whether alive or dead, for massacre of sikhs, please don't expect it from non sikhs. Ask yourself who stopped sikhs to give their opinion on rediff? Why they keep mum? Kuldeep

Dear Harpreet, I assume you are a Sikh. No Indian is proud of the 1984 massacar. I was in college in those days and I was witness to it all.
However, are you or any sikh be able to explain how the hallowed Golden Temple in Amritsar got converted into a fortress? Guns and ammunition have no place in a temple - do you know that? And how do you explain the terrorism in Punjab in the preceeding years, where any individual without a turban was fleeing? OR for that matter - Jarnail Singh Bhindrawale the mastermind of extremeism is also summoned as a Sant. Why?
Wake up buddy - and realise that the effects of today are the results of the causes one created in the past.
My congratulations to Mr. Dandapani to have guts to write such plain truth and to Rediff for the spine it has shown in publishing it inspite of the fear of being labelled communal or atleast support to a long lost cause - human rights of Hindus!
Shocking - thats the only word that comes to mind for this apathy on part of people and government.

Yes shahrukh, india already supports palestine and others.. even if it didnt, it has to start somewhere and whats better than starting in our own neighbourhood
I extend my complete support to the column and we as a nation should demand justice for any human rights violation being done to "any" minority "anywhere" in the world. We have proven to be broad-minded and liberal and we should raise our voices against any injustice. And please let us start seeing things in a better and wider and more moral perspective. Minorities in most countries are being obliterarted, lets start to change this world by changing ourselves and start redefining human rights violations as "Human rights violations" and not "HINDU rights violations" or "MUSLIM rights violations" or "CHRISTIAN" or "SIKH" rights violations!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My soul is not satisfied after saying that "i have done a crime lesser than the others".

Shahrukh, I have read 2-3 messages from you. Your messages are sensible. Previously, you had said that most people commenting on koran have neither read koran nor any hindu scriptures. I completely agree with you. The fault lies with muslims that they include allah in all their wars, daily administration and life.
Minorities like sikhs, christians, parsis, muslims have equal rights and enjoy fundamental human rights in India.
This is not true in Bangladesh, pak, iran, suaudi arabia etc... Also, the above states are theocratic in nature in this day and age. Their laws like sharia are barbaric. The concept of India is more noble than these countries. Just because they follow your religion does not mean that you should defend them.
You should definitely speak up loud if you faced any discrimination in India because of your religion, sex, race etc...
I don't know who you are and why have you written this article. but THIS IS TRUELY AMAZING !!!Someone has to take a lead to bring hindu awakeining about. This is truly wonderful and i would like to know how i can be a part of this organisation. Any response will be much appreciated.
its really a matter of shame for the hindus to alienate themselves from the atrocities inflicted upon their brothers and sisters in countries like pakistan and bangladesh. the article is a rare one in the indian medai and mr. dandapani needs to be applauded for this. not many hindu journalists would do that for the fear of being labeled as communal. what a pity! we report in great detail about the gujrat riots but forget about bangladesh/pakistan and kashmir. there is lot of room for some rethinking. i would requeat mr. dandapani to start a group of journalists who share similar viewpoint. I m with u Sir.
What is Hindu? It is not a Sanskrit Word!! Nowhere in our Old Indian scriptures you will find that word. There is no need of spine. It is like protoplasm. Sanskrit concept will prevail until Truth will prevail. All falsehood is bound to disappear over a period of time.
