Whoever has written this long thing is very true about every word. But I think that he is not aware that Sikhs are also Hindus as he wrote that 'Perhaps it was a tacit atonement on the part of the Congress president Sonia Gandhi when she made Singh the first non-Hindu prime minister of the country'. I didn't agree with this comment.
A very genuine analysis. Any civilised society has to provide justice to all its citizens in its true spirit, not a propaganda. Justice denied to any section provide tools in the hands of enemies of the country to use it against the mother India.
Forget the 84 riots, how many people were prosecuted for the riots after Mahatma Gandhi's murder? Hundreds of people from Marathi brahmin family had died during the riots. Is it really required to find out who killed these people? the answer is obvious. I think the similarities are many between 84 riots and 48 riots.
modi's act was withfull state help to exterminate a religious minority which went on for a month.the anti sikh riot is no comparison to gujrat genocide .watch out one day bjp will have to answer these bitter questions.all riots are bad for whatever reasons it is the minority that suffers as the state and executive will side with their majority brethren as always.the only solution is to give proportionate representation to all strata of soceity in the adminstration process and reduce the grip of rightwing casteist racial upper caste domination of indian administration.
What, do 3000 Sikh lives matter less to India than do 3000 Muslim lives? Aren't both groups Indians, and hence the perpetrators should face the same treatment? Or is there an invisible class system among victims that eludes me?
Wow, what a sentence. I feel very sorry that your great article will not reach to other people than rediff readers.
